RON PIERCE

President and Chief Executive Officer

For more than 27 years, Ron Pierce has been on the forefront of guiding Florida policy. He began his legislative career in 1998, working in the Florida Legislature as a District Legislative Assistant in the State House, later moving to the office of Senator Tom Lee in the spring of 2000 where he continued to work and serve with Senator Lee as his Policy Advisor during his Presidency from 2004-2006. Ron worked with hundreds of legislators, lobbyists, community activists, and civic organizations, guiding numerous pieces of legislation through both chambers.   

In 2006, Ron’s vast legislative experience and professionalism were recognized by The Tampa Bay Lightning organization, and he was hired as the Director of Government Relations and Community Affairs for the team.  

Three years later, Ron launched RSA Consulting Group, which fully integrates his years of experience in the areas of government relations, strategic planning, and business development into a lobbying firm. Under his leadership, RSA has grown from one employee and three clients to its current roster of ten full-time employees, serving over 100 local, regional, state, and national clients. Ron’s dedication and hard work continue to allow the firm to achieve far-reaching results and yield high-impact successes for clients, and in 2019, Florida Politics named RSA “Boutique Lobbying Firm of the Year.”  

Ron is widely recognized for his active leadership and service across numerous organizations in the Tampa Bay region and beyond. A dedicated supporter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), he has served as Chair of both the National Board of Directors and the Florida FBLA-PBL Board of Directors. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, where he teaches undergraduate courses on state and local politics.  

Beyond his role at RSA Consulting, Ron maintains a strong engagement with the local community through various leadership positions. He has previously held roles including Chair of the Florida Association of Lobbyists Board of Directors, Chair of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce Board, President of the Center Place of Brandon Board, and Chair of the Brandon Sports & Aquatic Center Board. His past service also includes positions with the Hillsborough County Transportation Task Force, the Mayor’s Beautification Council Board of Trustees, the Tampa Bay Partnership’s Public Policy and Advocacy Council, and the Board of Directors for WEDU PBS.   

Ron has also had the privilege of being included on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Power 100 and is the recipient of the Department of Education Florida Association of Career and Technical Educators (FACTE) Hall of Fame award. He has also received the Greater Brandon Community Leadership Award, USF’s Fast 56 Award, and was recognized by the News Service of Florida’s with their Fifty Over 50 award.

Ron holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida State University
