RON PIERCE

President and Chief Executive Officer

For more than 24 years, Ron Pierce has been on the forefront of guiding Florida policy. He began his legislative career in 1998 working in the Florida Legislature as a District Legislative Assistant in the State House, later moving to the office of Senator Tom Lee in the spring of 2000 where he continued to work and serve with Senator Lee as his Policy Advisor during his Presidency from 2004-2006. Ron worked with hundreds of legislators, lobbyists, community activists and civic organizations, guiding numerous pieces of legislation through both chambers.

In 2006, Ron’s vast legislative experience and professionalism were recognized by The Tampa Bay Lightning organization, and he was hired as the Director of Government Relations and Community Affairs for the team.

Three years later, Ron launched RSA Consulting Group, which fully integrates his years of experience in the areas of government relations, strategic planning and business development into a lobbying firm. Under his leadership, RSA has grown from one employee and three clients to its current roster of seven full-time employees, serving over 70 local, regional, state, and national clients. Ron’s dedication and hard work continue to allow the firm to achieve far-reaching results and yield high-impact successes for clients, and in 2019, Florida Politics named RSA “Boutique Lobbying Firm of the Year.”

 Ron has been recognized for his extensive involvement with many organizations throughout the Tampa Bay region and beyond. A longtime supporter of the Future Business Leaders of America organization, he is the past-chair of the National Board of Directors and the current chair of the Florida FBLA-PBL Board of Directors. He also served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, teaching two undergraduate courses per semester that focus on state and local politics.

Outside of his work at RSA Consulting, Ron has been recognized for his extensive involvement with many community-related organizations throughout the Tampa Bay region. He is the current Vice Chair of the Florida Association of Lobbyists Board of Directors, Past Chair of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, past member of the Hillsborough County Transportation Task Force, past President of the Center Place of Brandon Board of Directors, past member of the Mayor’s Beautification Council Board of Trustees, past Chair of the Public Policy and Advocacy Council for the Tampa Bay Partnership, past Chair of the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center’s Board of Directors, and member of the Board of Directors for the WEDU PBS station.

Ron has also had the privilege of being included on the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Power 100 and is the recipient of the Department of Education Florida Association of Career and Technical Educators (FACTE) Hall of Fame award. In 2019 he was awarded the Greater Brandon Community Leadership Award, the highest honor from the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, for his commitment, involvement, and leadership within the community.

Ron holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Florida State University
